Saw a concert by Trevor Wishart in the Sonic Lab (crazy surround sound – there are 64 channels of audio that completely surround you). He played two pieces, the first “Imago” was made entirely of a 1/5th of a second sample of two wine glasses clinking together, which was then treated to various sonic treatments. The second, “Globalalia”, was completely different in the fact it used over 8000 samples of the human voice, which were then re-arranged and cut up.
