NIME 2020

This week I’ve been attending NIME’20, the New Interfaces for Musical Expression conference.

I’ve was involved in running the workshop “10,000 Instruments for a Semi-Connected World” on Tuesday, in which we attempted to design 10,000 new absurd musical instruments. We managed over 300 in the two hours, which wasn’t a bad start!

I’ve also been running Liquid Noise with Dan Pollard, a live online installation that visualises the effect of marine noise pollution to bioacoustics, in this case the song of Icelandic humpback whales.

I’ll be adding more info soon when the dust settles 🙂
